Story Begins - The Traitorous Second of the First

In Common day, Humans exist. Souls, who know nothing of the other realms and the shadows that hide above them. The world of Earth is ignorant of those around them, blind to that it cannot see. Humans often fear, what they cannot see.

Shinigami, Gods of Death, or better known as Soul Reapers, walk the earth, coming from a world some would know as Heaven. They Reap not humans, but guide Souls to the peace of the Soul Society. And they hunt those who would prevent this.

They are known as the Hollows. Dark, beast-like creatures that hunt down souls to devour, whether dead, or living. Foul Creatures that once were Souls themselves, corrupted by Hate, Greed, Anger, Lust, and Jealousy, or turned by other Hollows. It is those who call themselves Soul Reapers who hunt Hollows...or else be hunted themselves.

Within the Land of Soul Society, a place exists known as the Seireitei, the Court of Pure Souls, where the Shinigami reside. Here, they are organized into Thirteen Divisions, the Gotei, the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. Each lead by experienced Shinigami, but commander of each being a Captain, all led by a Single General, the Head Captain of the First Division.

At this point in time, the Head Captain is currently a man named Chourou Gunsoto, who has held the post for hundreds of years. Immortal as the dead are, he has become older then any other Soul Reaper, and his health has begun to decline. Despite this, he is said to hold the Gotei in reign with an Iron Fist, determined to keep order until the day he died.

Despite this, Gunsoto began preparations for his death, such as who he would choose to be the next Head Captain. One such choice was Ikuso Utashi, Vice Captain to the First Squad. A man of great skill and pride, he had served his position for period almost as long as Gunsoto himself. Despite this, he had flaws. He always desired power, and this arrogant manner made some dislike him. His desire for power was believed to be normal. One night, however, Utashi discovered Gunsoto's will, and upon reading it, became outraged that he was not chosen as Successor. He confronted Gunsoto, demanding what was rightfully his.

Gunsoto said nothing as the man insulted him. He was silent through the curses, until Utashi simply stood, sweat pouring down his face, anger still covering his face. Gunsoto then spoke, his voice shaking the foundations of the room. He saw Utashi's true side, that his seeking of power would never be satisfied. That his lust was worse then that of a Hollow, and a bastard like him would never be allowed to become a captain while he was alive.

And then Utashi ran, screaming that he would have revenge. For nearly a month, there was no sign of him. That is, until he entered the real world. Breaking all laws and rigging the space to allow no followers, he escaped to Earth, where he disappeared. Rumors began to spread, as tales of an Army began to arise. At first, it was only that. Rumors. Soon, however, more and more sources arose, and spotting of strange individuals and unknown Shinigami arose. Utashi was building an army, one of Soul Reapers, Quincys, Humans, and other enemies of Soul Society. Those who intended to take over Soul Society, and gain revenge on those who had shamed them.

Little did they know, that others were on the move. Enemies of both sides, known only as the Hollow.

Deep within Hueco Mundo, the world of the Hollows, evil was stirring. Forces were being prepared, and Hollows assembled. Normally Lone Monsters were joining up. Bands of Hollows began attacking, entering the Real World and striking like lightning. Too fast, were they, for the Shinigami. They killed, Human and Soul Reaper alike, before escaping away into the real world. Against the Renegade and the Hollows, the order of Soul Society began to crumble...

Gunsoto, as 1st Division Captain, decided to take action. He began gathering Shinigami from all the Squads, and even new ones from the Academy, and placing them into a force, to go deep into Earth. An attack force intent on stopping the Hollow assaults and ending the Revolution of Utashi.

And who shall win? Will the Shinigami from Seireitei stop the Hollow attacks and end the Revolution? Will Utashi's plan come into action? Or will the Hollows eat all? And even more mysterious..what of those outside of the three factions. What choice..Shall you make?
